Escrow protected

Every transaction on NaijaDeals — marketplace order, food order, gig hire, stay booking, ride, package — is held in escrow inside your NaijaWallet. Your money does not leave your wallet until youconfirm the seller / driver / host has delivered. If they don't, you get a full refund.

• • Disputed orders are frozen until manual review (24h response time)

Verified accounts

Phone-first sign-up via SMS OTP — no fake accounts. Sellers, hosts, drivers, and providers go through additional verification: BVN/NIN, business registration where applicable, FRSC checks for drivers.

• • Buyers: phone + optional BVN for higher trust tier
• • Sellers: store profile + payout bank verification
• • Drivers: FRSC license + valid vehicle papers
• • Hosts: property documentation + selfie verification

24h dispute response

Something went wrong? Open a dispute from your order page. A real person on our ops team responds within 24 hours. Most disputes resolve in 48–72 hours; complex ones may take up to 7 days.

• • Buyer or seller can open
• • Money stays frozen during review
• • Resolution: refund, partial refund, or release based on evidence
• • Escalation to senior ops if either party isn't satisfied

Privacy policy

NaijaDeals collects your phone number, name, and payment details solely to operate the platform. We use Termii for OTP SMS verification and Flutterwave for Naira payments. We do not sell your data to third parties.

• • Your phone number is used for authentication and order notifications only
• • Payment data is processed by Flutterwave — NaijaDeals never stores card details
• • Location data (for ride-hailing and delivery) is used only during active sessions
• • You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time via support

Terms of use

By using NaijaDeals you agree to transact honestly and in good faith. Fraud, misrepresentation, and abuse of the dispute system will result in immediate account suspension and potential legal action.

• • Sellers must ship within 48 hours of order confirmation or face auto-refund
• • Buyers have 72 hours after delivery to raise a dispute — after that, funds are released
• • Drivers must maintain a 4.0+ rating; hosts must respond within 2 hours
• • Prohibited: counterfeit goods, stolen items, illegal services, abuse of promotions
• • NaijaDeals reserves the right to suspend accounts pending investigation
